Moved  ~

Tonight my husband and I were able to visit a traveling Vietnam Veterans War Memorial that is in our area for a few days.  I didn't know any of the veterans personally who were killed in the war and I have visited the Memorial in Washington D.C., but I was so moved seeing it again.  All the names,  everyone of them representing someone who gave their life fighting for our freedom.  I am so grateful to all our veterans for their service and sacrifices.

  1. We went when it was in Richland late this fall; smaller, but still impressive. Most touching was overhearing a couple of veterans talking, one of them saying that he could never make himself go before, and that this was the next step for him in healing from his Vietnam experience.

  2. I know, there was a Vietnam veteran just beyond us, and he was having a tough time being there and as he walked away I heard him say to himself he wouldn't do that, I imagined it was maybe breaking down. My heart goes out to him and others, so many of their brothers and sisters have passed.
